DO BIRDS move their young to another nest if disturbed?

I was going to trim a bush last week, when i notices a nest with 4 young sparrows. One had some facial feathers and was near opening of bush. I took a picture, without touching anything.
The next day the nest was empty, 10 feet away the mulch

Sounds like either a hawk or a cat got to the nest. Coopers and Red Tail hawks snoop around and steal babies out of nest. It is just part of the natural progression of nature.

A luxurious cruise on the wild Peruvian Amazon

Considering the scenery and the situation, the unmistakable "clink" and explosive "poomph" from the back of the skiff were the oddest sounds we had heard all day.

Through miles of waterways, we had listened to the jungle speak, a greatest-hits mix of cries, caws, screeches, grunts, crashes and howls from a host of beasties, most unseen. We had heard the patter (and pounding) of rain.

Lots of rain.

But as the crew lashed the three skiffs together in the fading light on a nameless lake near the Amazon's birthplace, we heard the clink and poomph - and turned to find flutes being filled with juice and champagne being uncorked for sundowner "Peruvian mimosas."

Not exactly "Heart of Darkness."

Then again, seeing the Peru end of the world's mightiest river on the riverboat Aqua was never intended to be.

I had sought out this Aqua Expeditions cruise of the Amazon near Iquitos, Peru, to find out if it's possible to truly experience one of the wildest places on the planet during the day and indulge in the comforts of a sophisticated restaurant and upscale hotel bed at night.

The Goldfinches and Flycatchers Have Hatched! | Curbstone Valley

Hopefully the mother Flycatcher can keep these babies safe and I imagine she’ll not have much rest until they fly the nest, judging from her look atop the bobbling babies.   They look a day or two older than the ones we found last year, that only lived for a day before their nest was robbed  by predators. These hatchlings are much younger than the Goldfinches, and still very vulnerable as the nest is in plain view on the side of the house, and quite low to the ground.   Hopefully the parents can keep these young ones safe this year, and we’ll soon have lots of young fledglings scrabbling about the garden....
