Review: Angry Birds Get Intergalactic In Space
22.05.12
Every element that drew you into Angry Birds in the first place is completely intact with space, along with a few new ones that let you know that this isn’t just another movie-related add-on. Instead, Rovio changes the physics almost completely with a new layer of depth. Instead of just relying on simple trajectory like most of the birds provide, you now have to add gravity into the mix.
See, those nasty pigs are back, and this time they’re perched on planets with their own gravitational pull – or push, at times. Anyway, you now have to make adjustments when it comes to said trajectory, sending a bird halfway across a planet at times to hit their desired target. Like previous games, trial and error can sometimes play a huge part in getting the best score possible, but with a game like this, you actually feel vindicated when you finally complete a stage, or learn a vital strategy that you didn’t see coming, like using a “bomb bird” to blow up enough debris to sink to a planet surface and crush those piggies flat. It’s really something.
