does anybody know what those insecst are that get nectar and have antennas like a butterfly but wings and a head and colors likea moth, but they move and look like hummingbirds from far away.
They are called, variously, "sphinx moths", "hawk moths", "hummingbird moths", or "hornworms"- in the caterpillar stage.
All are members of the Sphinx Moth family - Sphingidae, of the order Lepidoptera
