East Tennessee authors produce mix of titles
N Seventh-grader Anthony Wescott is in trouble again. His specialty is time travel and now, in Season of the Cold Moon (Beanpole Books), he's headed back into the 1830s to save a young Cherokee boy on the Trail of Tears. Westcott is a figment of local writer Dianne C. Stewart's imagination, and this is the third and last book in her Quimbaya Trilogy for young people.

Knox County artist and poet Nancy Herrell Lockwood calls them "children in disguise" — the little birds, mice, owls, chipmunks and other creatures she has spent a lifetime observing, drawing and writing about. Both she and her husband Bob, who is a minister, call the woods their "sanctuary."
