Small hummingbird females, a great many more are now visiting my feeder, I wonder if they are this years hatch
The drought here in Oklahoma I'm sure is having an impact on the birds. I seem to be getting more and more hummers on the feeder.

I've seen hummingbird feeders at the store and I didn't want to get one unless the probability of getting a hummingbird to come was pretty high. Unless, other birds eat the same nectar...?
Hummingbirds are quite common. There are about 7 species in Oklahoma that visit for about 6 months out of the year, April through October. . So, buy the feeder, it may take a while, but they'll get used to having food near your home and will stop by pretty
A design submitted by local artist Jesse T. Hummingbird was selected to be painted on a Gibson electric guitar that will be displayed in the Hard Rock Casino in Catoosa, Okla. Hummingbird, a Cherokee citizen and resident of Bisbee, submitted colorful images of two positions of the Cherokee Eagle Dancer-one for each side of the guitar. Artists were allowed to paint or otherwise embellish the guitars in their preferred art medium.
Each Cherokee Casino in Oklahoma has a historical theme. The one for the Hard Rock Casino in Catoosa is “Time Immemorial to 1790.” All art submitted for the guitars had to reflect this theme and time period with cultural and historical accuracy. Jesse’s Eagle dancer portrays a dance that has been performed since prehistoric days. The Eagle (or Phoenix) dance says that the Cherokee will face challenges from the beginning through current times, but will always rise and face tomorrow. Jesse says “It shows we always survive; we were here then and will be forever as shown by the eternal fire this man dances in front of-our gift from the Creator.”
