Cut flower garden- which plants grow best in the tropics?

I live on a Caribbean island. I'd like to put in a cut flower garden so I can do flower arrangements. Right now I have a lot of bird of paradise flowers, but I'm looking for some variety. I'd like to order some seeds from the US, and pick up whatever
I live on Maui, and Gingers, red, pink, and blue, do excellent here, and when I cut them the flowers will last a week or two. Try gingers, of course birds, orchids grow great here,just to name a few, but the best one is the ginger plant. I love those

KURRAWA BEACH can be as dangerous or as placid as Bondi but the stretch of sand south of Surfers Paradise has become the beach on which the surf lifesaving movement may founder.
Lifesavers are iconic because they risk their lives to save others but Matthew Barclay's death at Kurrawa beach, the third on that beach during a surf lifesaving national title, injects reality into the hype.
Lifesaving has benefited from the commercialised nationalism of flag waving and anthem singing, but the former Bligh government also jumped on the bandwagon during the recent election campaign, proudly locking Kurrawa in as the national titles venue until 2017.
Now the beach is the scene of a public relations disaster with the body of the 14-year-old from Maroochydore SLSC found yesterday morning after he disappeared during an under-15 board relay race on Wednesday.
