From eyesore to landmark: Blue Wahoos' stadium 'stunning to see'

Five Things To Know About The Stadium.

1. There will be an indoor, air-conditioned, sports-themed restaurant called Mulroy's on the concourse behind home plate, adjacent to the indoor Blue Wahoos store.

2. A birthday area for children has been created in the concourse area, complete with a mock dugout so children can pose for pictures with the Blue Wahoos' mascot, Kazoo, and the Cincinnati Reds mascot. Kids also can get free, removable tattoos on their cheeks.

3. The outfield "berm" behind the right field and centerfield area will have seating for 250 people. Tickets are $5, and kids can roll around in the grass or potentially wrestle for home runs during batting practice or the game.

4. The 140-seat Hancock Club, located above home plate and along the third base line, will be available for daily rental for company meetings, parties and wedding receptions. The covered area offers permanent and portable table seating, along with the best views of Pensacola Bay.
