Little Bunting (Emberiza pusilla)

There is a strong breeding population. Breeds on pine
and spruce swamps, near rivers and on bushy shore meadows.
The population fluctuates yearly. In the best years the song
is heard atnearly all potential sites. A late migrant, appearing
in late May - early June. The median date is 4th June. A regular
sites is Torankijärvi (1) with surroundings.
