Jack Snipe (Lymnocryptes minimus)

The mysterious "knocking" display can be heard at the
larger wet bogs (3 and 5). The species is difficult
to find after the displaying ceases due to difficulties
in accessing the breeding sites and the secretive behaviour.
The first arrive around May 18th. The earliest record is
from 6th May.
